HISTORY
Long ago, RexBirbs were not much evolved and didn't have any bond with spirits, they were only a tribe of anthro dino-bird creatures with nothing to do with floating magic.
But once a small group of Rexbirbs were severely damaged by humans who wanted their wings for profit, the wounded RexBirbs managed to escape with their wings broken and almost detached from their bodies, heading to Ultra’s Tree for safety, they ran for so long trying to dismiss the humans that they became exhausted and knew they would die, but they had no choice after running for that long.
FLOATING WINGS
Ultra saw their suffering, he had mercy for them. When they woke up from the sleep they thought would be their last, they all had their wings cured, but oddly had their forearms floating near their body.
They returned as heroes to their Tepui and with time all RexBirbs started to be born with the same features as their heroes as Ultra would extend his blessing to those who admire his doings.
NEW REXALPHA
Akbal is the RexAlpha of the RexBirbs nowadays, but he haven’t been born in a noble family, he was raised by a Community Nest yet none of the caregivers have seen anything special on him, he was born a second yolk birb and his light gray feathers didn’t made him stand from the crowd.
He grew up hearing this and because of it he decided he would be a warrior RexBirb, to prove everyone they were wrong about his real potential.
When testing himself to be approved as a warrior RexBirb, Akbal needed to kill a creature that was way bigger than him.
When he made it everyone was so surprised and excited over it that he used the skull of said creature on his head as a mask to this day.
Some say that the colorful blood of that creature was the source of dyed Akbal’s wings, he never agreed and also never denied it.
He was not the strongest nor the more powerful, but he started to use his tamed snakes as part of his fighting style, making him quite famous in the RexNest.
When the last RexAlpha decided to retire, he asked Owen, his youngest scribe, to announce a fighting contest. The Winner would be the new RexAlpha.
FIGHTING CONTEST
Akbal entered the contest, training every day and night to finally be the strongest and recognized by his full potential even being born a second yolk. He went good in all the stages, reaching the finals, when a new rule was stated: the winner should kill the others in order to be named the strongest. Akbal was shocked by this new rule, he had never killed one of his kind.
Three were remaining, and one of them was a MegaBirb. Akbal couldn’t focus himself enough, he won a fight against the one which was the same size as him but couldn’t kill him. While trying to focus to complete his mission he heard from the Birb in the ground he wanted to give up, to have mercy on him. Akbal completely lost his will to complete the mission, and instead of killing his opponent, he helped him get up again.
But suddenly both were hit by the MegaBirb, who killed the RexBirb Akbal had defeated and helped without a second thought.
He was about to attack Akbal when Owen announced: the Alpha already have chosen a new RexAlpha. The MegaBirb stopped and made himself look even bigger with his beautiful long feathers, waiting for him to be announced as new RexAlpha, when in the ground Akbal heard his own name being called as the new RexAlpha.
Everyone was in silent while looking at Akbal in the ground, and to cease everyone’s confusion, the last RexBirb Alpha explained that the contest was a test, not to find only the strongest, but also the one who would care for each other, for that reason Akbal was chosen instead of the MegaBirb.
Akbal raised himself keeping a completely correct posture ignoring his battle wounds while everyone paid attention to him, and even the MegaBirb had to bow to him when all of them were screaming his name.
Akbal is the RexAlpha to this day, and even though Owen was the newest scribe in the court, Akbal named him his official scribe to remember the day he was named Alpha.
